Imagine if other software did this.for example imagine if you asked your computer to retrieve your emails. There should be an option to not list this as an error or at least a way to clear the errors (non-erorrs) from the list. It is working correctly, but lists it's correct actions as errors. You say " This is not an error or a bug with the OneDrive sync client, this is how it works" Well that is the issue isn't. My one dirve has a ever growing list of "sync issues" just because some files are read only. Not movign the file, not reading file.not even looking at that particular directory. I am getting the error just from sync'ing the drives. I hope they make a change because this is a big deal for me. When I look up this error online, it seems like the error might arise from my computer trying to upload a version of a read-only file that I don't have permission to edit. It is a function that we want to use on some files. Im sick of getting a long list of notifications about this and wish onedirve did not list "read-only" as an issue, since it is not an issue as the author purposely made the file read-only when they shared it. But now there a 154 of these "read-only" sync issues (which are not issues) that clutter the sync issue list making it harder to recognize when there is an actual issue. At first this was no problem, I could just ignore the error. I just want to remove the non-issue from the list of issues. The file and sync process is behaving as we would expect (only giving read only permission for certain files). When I sync with desktop app, the app say the read-only files have a sync issue "u need permission to edit this file". My company uses onedrive to share many files.
